The MAGDA Framework

MAGDA is:

  • a short, structured diagnostic that identifies where work slows down and what to fix first by making different types of work friction visible

  • designed to produce a small number of practical improvements within 6–12 weeks

  • especially suited to small and medium organisations because of their flexibility: smaller teams can make changes quickly and improvements can be tested and adapted quickly

  • leaving your organisation more sustainable and easier to run, whilst providing check-ins for accountability and tweaks

  • not a culture change programme, a system implementation, or open‑ended transformation

  • not patching up inefficient workflows with technology

  • not cutting jobs but giving people time for more structure, generative thought, creativity and flow - and helping finish work on time
